Gosan-ri-type Pottery
Gosanri-type pottery is the oldest type of Korean pottery, named after the site where it was excavated. In East Asia, the earliest examples of pottery are found around the Amur River, the Russian Far East, and Hokkaido in Japan, etc. In Korea, the Gosan-ri site on Jeju Island is the only place to have yielded this type of pottery, which is estimated to date to around 10,000 years ago.
