Bowl, Celadon·Goryeo white porcelain

This type of pieces, bowls with a halo-shaped foot, were named after their trimmed foot reminiscent of a solar nimbus. This type is one of the typical forms of early celadon in Korea and was used for drinking tea. Bowls with a foot like in these examples disappeared somewhere between the late 11th century and the first half of the 12th century.
