This album of four paintings was made based on a selection from of Shijing (The Classics of Poetry). The paintings portray farmers working in fields in black ink. It is thought that the album was originally composed of eight paintings, but only four presently remain. The Chinese characters written on the paintings state that they were produced by Kim Hong-do, but it is not clear if this is actually the case.
