Geumgangsan Mountain became a favorite motif for decorating various household objects during the late Joseon Period. This white porcelain incense burner, one such item from that period, exhibits fine artistic techniques. The man leaning on a tree trunk depicted under the lid seems to reflect the influence of the tradition of portraying Buddhist and Taoist saints, which was greatly in vogue among the literati artists of late Joseon.
