This pair of gold earrings excavated from Hwango-dong in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do is characterized by thick hollow rings with a plain surface, and thin oval rings linking the large rings with clusters of gold ornaments below. The ornaments are largely heart-shaped gold leaves chained to each other, and there are larger ornaments at the end. All the ornaments and spangles are further embellished with tiny gold granules attached with a filigree technique.
