The Shurangama Sutra is a Buddhist sutra explaining how to escape from anxieties and reach the state of nirvana. It was one of essential scriptures studied by Buddhist monks during the Joseon Dynasty. This version was published using woodblock prints in 1401 at the order of King Taejong.
