This is a brief atlas of maps of Shengjing (present-day Shenyang), China. The maps clearly show the fences set up to block potential invasions by the Mongols. The maps were made when the people of Joseon began to pay more attention to the northern border areas to the north of the Amnokgang River, following the Manchurian invasion in the 17th century.
