This is a jobo, a kind of government newsletter, containing news at the time of the failed three-day coup (October 17-19, 1884). This gazette usually contained instructions and orders issued by the king, petitions made by Confucian scholars or government officials, and news updates about newly appointed or dismissed officials. It was distributed to central and local government offices and to important members of the nobility.
