These two earrings are said to have been unearthed from ancient tombs in Songsan-ri, Geumseong-dong, Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do. They display slight differences in terms of their size and detailed shape. The middle ornament of the earring on the right was made by filigree work, while red pigment was used to decorate the gold round ornament. A golden plate was inserted into the ornament to connect it to the center loop and the drop. The use of filigree, pigments, and decorated drops are metal craft techniques unique to the Baekje period. As such, it is presumed that these earrings were made during the period when Ungjin (present-day Gongju) was the capital of Baekje.
