This is a concave roof tile dating from the Goguryeo period. It has a hard surface, suggesting that it was fired at a high temperature, and is marked with the slanted grid patterns typical of the reddish-hued roof tiles made in Goguryeo. Grayish roof tiles made in Lelang, in contrast, display straw mat patterns.
