This painting portrays people gathered to enjoy a competition of traditional Korean wrestling known as ssireum and the traditional Korean martial art taekkyeon. The Chinese characters on the top-right state that it was painted in the Eulsa Year (1785) by Shin Yun-bok (pen-name: Hyewon). Another painting with the same title believed to have been painted by Yu Suk (1827-1873) is currently kept at the Seoul National University Museum. It resembles this painting and is presumed to have been based upon it.
