Decorative copper red underglaze was used to create designs by glazing pottery after drawing a design in a copper pigment. This technique, together with inlay technique, was applied by Goryeo artisans earlier than in other countries. This small cylindrical lidded bowl taller than the radius of its mouth is presumed to have been used as a sarira reliquary. The top of the lid is decorated with a chrysanthemum design in copper dots.
