This is a transcription of Chapter 12 (Discussion on Courtesy between Confucius and Yan Yuan) of Lunyu (The Analects) and Chengzi’s commentaries, transcribed by Song Jun-gil. It is written energetically in the “Song” (referring to Song Si-yeol and Song Jun-gil) style. Song Jun-gil was a neo-Confucian scholar who, along with being famous for his calligraphy, was well-versed in etiquette.
