These bronze artifacts were excavated from an archaeological site in Heukgyo-ri, Hwangju-gun, Hwanghae-do Province in North Korea. All of the relics are hollow, although some unearthed from the lower reaches of the Daedonggang River were found with the wooden handle still inserted.
