Hara is the thirteenth station on the Tokaido Road. Mount Fuji appears in several of the prints in the series Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido Road. This print, however, features the largest version of Mount Fuji. It is noteworthy that the summit of Mount Fuji extends beyond the frame, emphasizing the majesty of the mountain. Below the mountain, two cranes are strolling across a dry meadow while two women and a man walk along the road in conversation. Unlike other scenes from the series, this one includes large, detailed figures.
