Flowerpot-shaped Pottery
Pottery was one of the most common items used as grave goods in Nangnang tombs. Mainly consisting of everyday vessels, they provide invaluable information on the daily lives of the people of the time, unlike expensive items brought from faraway lands. Typical examples include owerpot-shaped vessels and short-necked jars. These types of pottery began to be used in Gojoseon, and although their shapes changed slightly over time, they continued to be made and used even after Nangnang’s establishment. Other types of pottery used include at-bottomed vessels, large, thick-walled storage vessels, and lids.
