Star and Cloud Pattern Bronze Mirror
The star and cloud pattern bronze mirror are one of the most iconic
mirror types of China’s Han Dynasty. The mirror’s decorative panel
features four large knobs and smaller knobs in between, and the patterns
surrounding these knobs resemble constellations, hence the name.
They were widely made in the Han Dynasty from the late 2nd century
BCE to the rst half of the 1st century BCE. In Korea, they are mostly
found in tombs around Pyongyang and in the Yeongnam region.
