Notched-raised Band Pottery (Misa-ri-type Pottery)

This is the representative pottery type of the earliest period of the Bronze Age. A clay band was attached below the mouth and incised with notches. In some cases, a single band encircled the entire vessel, but in other cases, the clay band was disconnected. Vessels of this type are also known as Misa-ri-type pottery after the site where they were first found.
