Stone Dagger
The stone dagger was an important grave good, and it has been discovered in various states at various locations within the burial. The dagger could be placed next to the deceased or be placed upon the deceased’s chest. Sometimes, it was found outside (and not within) the coffin. The stone dagger could be intentionally broken into several pieces and scattered throughout the burial; sometimes, it was stuck into the ground. This suggests that the stone dagger was not merely a grave good but may have also been used as part of ritual practices associated with the deceased’s departure to the afterworld.
