Semi-lunar Stone Knife
The semi-lunar stone knife is an iconic grain harvesting tool of the Bronze Age. Its name comes from the overall shape of the stone knife, but there are many other shapes, including square, trapezoidal, pear, fish, and triangular-shaped stone knives. They feature one or two holes in the center, where a piece of string was threaded through to form a loop, into which the user’s hand was inserted. Variously shaped stone knives were popularly used and the triangular stone knife was the last to appear.
