Plain Coarse Pottery
“Plain pottery” is a general term used to refer to Bronze Age pottery. Unlike the pottery of the preceding Neolithic period, pottery of this period is characterized by the limited rendering of patterns near the vessel mouth, and even these patterns disappeared over time. Types of plain pottery include notched-raised band pottery, slash-pattern pottery, double-rim pottery, notched rim pottery, perforated rim pottery, etc. Vessels featuring these different patterns were used during different time periods and in different regions.
