Vessel Stand

This vessel stand from Naesan-ri Tomb 34 in Goseong, Gyeongnam Province, demonstrates the characteristics of Sogaya vessel stands. The earliest Gaya vessel stands, found generally in the region of Geumgwan Gaya region, are cylindrical in shape, but the vessel stands of Sogaya take the form of a trumpet, with a widely flaring base and a body without decorations, apart from a vertical row of triangular perforations.
