Iron Weapons

Many iron weapons have been excavated from the sites of Goguryeo forts located along the Han River. In particular, iron arrowheads discovered at the site of Gueui-dong Fort, on the northern bank of the Han River, were found to contain iron that is equal in strength to modern steel produced in factories, demonstrating Goguryeo’s advanced technology for iron production. More details about Goguryeo iron weapons and armor can be surmised from tomb murals depicting soldiers in battle.
