Geumseok cheongwan (Compendia of Rubbings of Stone Monuments)

Geumseok cheongwan (金石淸玩, literally “Pure Enjoyment of Epitaphs”) are the earliest extant compendia of rubbings of stone monuments, including more than 120 pieces that date from the Three Kingdoms to the Joseon periods.
Three copies of Geumseok cheongwan remain today, and this copy of ten volumes is presumed to have been edited after the death of Jo Sok (趙速, 1595~1668). The compendia are significant in that they include records that would have been no longer available or legible today due to damages or loss.
