Maebyeong, Vase with Peony, Chrysanthemum and Bamboo

The patterns at the top and bottom of the vase. Chrysanthemum and bamboo patterns are inlaid in four places.
There are often appear in Goryeo celadon, symbolize the integrity and fidelity of an archetypical man of virtue.
Goryeo’s royal family and aristocrats enjoyed growing and appreciating flowers and trees.
Their tastes seem to have been reflected in Goryeo celadon, too.
A Chinese character is engraved on the bottom of the vase.
