Cremation Urn ofLucius Atilius Glabrio

The entire surface of this cremation urn is adorned with various leaf decorations, including laurel leaves and !oral vines on the upper part and acanthus leaves around the lower part. On opposite sides of the urn are two faces representing Jupiter-Amun,
combining the features of the Roman god Jupiter and the Egyptian god Amun. The distinct iconography of each god are clearly
depicted, including the ram horns of Amun and the curly beard of Jupiter. The name of the deceased - L[ucius] Ati[lius] L[ucii] Glabrio - is written in Latin characters inside a rectangular panel.
