Clay bust of a possible superhuman subject, with deep set eyes, prominent brows, and long, curling beard. The elaborate arrangement of the hair and rolled diadem are common in Mesopotamian sculpture, but this bust most closely resembles Babylonian art of the early first millennium BCE. It was possibly an artist model for a larger sculpture made in a different medium.
