Extending more than fifty centimeters in height, the design of
the dragon with its large and dignified body striking a dynamic
pose was painted according to official protocols by a court
painter from the Dohwaseo (Royal Bureau of Painting). The jar
is believed to have been used for floral arrangements during
royal court events.
