This semilunar stone knife excavated at the Archaeological Site in Johyeon-ri, Yongmun-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do is a representative farming tool of the Bronze Age in Korea. Stone farming tools of this type generally take the form either of a crescent moon or a streamlined boat shape. It first appeared on the Korean Peninsula during the late phase of the Neolithic Period, reached its zenith as a farming tool during the Bronze Age when agriculture developed rapidly, and gradually disappeared during the subsequent Iron Age.
