This gilt-bronze outer sarira chest, discovered during the dismantling and restoration of the Five-story Stone Pagoda in Wanggung-ri in 1965, is distinguished from other artifacts by the outer surfaces painted red and the gilt inner surface. It was discovered on a mat of glass beads laid inside the plastered sarira chamber. It exhibits a cubic form and has a matching lid.
