Various types of stone chisels were excavated from the southwest areas of the Korean Peninsula, including Songguk-ri, Chochon-myeon, Buyeo, Chungcheongnam-do. Judging from its great length compared to its width, this one is presumed to have been used to trim or make grooves in wooden farming tools when people began rice farming during the Bronze Age.
