This bowl was excavated when the placenta storage of King Sejo was relocated from Seongju-gun, North Gyeongsang-do in 1934. A record of childbirth in the third Jeongtong Year (1438) was also found with the bowl. It is regarded as an important material showing the production trend of buncheong ware, in this case the use of a stamped design, during the early 15th century.
