This book is one (Vol. 64) of the one hundred volumes of the Tripitaka Koreana published by Daejangdogam, a government office temporarily established for the publication of the Tripitaka Koreana, in 1246 (the 33rd year of the reign of King Gojong of the Goryeo Dynasty). Although diverse versions of the Second edition of the Tripitaka Koreana are still in existence, this one is a rare example of an exquisitely printed edition that retains its cover and title in good condition among all those printed on mulberry paper. The clear print suggests that it was printed in the 13th or 14th century.
