This is the household register of a person named Yi Won-jae of Haimgye-dong, Sam-ri, Imgye-myeon, Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do. The register was drawn up in the 11th lunar month of 1897 (the 1st year of the reign of Emperor Gojong of the Great Han Empire). It shows the newly adopted format of a household register following the Gabo Reforms of 1894.
