Seoncheongholgi (Procedures of Ceremonies in the Office of Royal Messengers) contains information about the types of passes required to enter a royal palace, when to open the gates of fortresses, and regulations on nighttime military training. The Office of Royal Messengers was in charge of delivering the king's orders during the Joseon Dynasty, before it was abolished in 1882 (the 19th year of King Gojong’s reign).
