This daily trade account book composed of five volumes was drawn up by merchants in Gaeseong during the 19th century. The main contents of each volume contain various symbols used by the merchants. The volumes exhibit the usual trade practices and detailed transactions conducted by merchants in Gaeseong during the late Joseon Dynasty.
