This lidded urn has a low heel punched with four rectangular holes. The knob on the lid is uniquely shaped like a three-story pagoda. This kind of earthenware is presumed to have been used as a burial urn for cremation tombs, which became widespread after the introduction and approval of Buddhism during the Silla Period.
