This painting depicts a scene of Sakyamuni preaching the Lotus Sutra at Vulture Peak in India. According to a record titled Aneum Yeongchwi Sagi, written by Hong Yu, the painting was made by seven monk-painters, including Hyesik, Wisun, and Seongcheong, for Yeongchwisa Temple, which underwent a seven-year restoration project.
