This is a Buddhist painting of the third of the ten kings of hell. On the 21st day after a person’s death, the soul comes before the third king, who is said to reign over the ice hell. This painting portrays the dead being put into an icy mountain in hell and the dead being taken to hell. It was originally kept at Taegosa Temple on Mt. Bukhansan.
