151 works of paintings and clothing that highlight the arts and cultures of the Indigenous people in North America, including Inupiaq parka, American Indian (Russel Means), and more.

Often referred to as “Indian” in Korea, the Indigenous peoples of North America encompass more than 570 tribes across the United States alone, each with its own distinctive culture by various regions. For the first time in Korea, this exhibition presents 151 works of paintings and craftworks that embrace the past and the present of 43 tribes, including the iconic eagle feather headdress and tipi. We warmly welcome you to explore who the Indigenous peoples of North America—once known as Indian—truly are, and to meet the stories within each work. We hope this exhibition can bring the cultures of Indigenous people in North America closer to our own and highlight their connection and relevance today, moving beyond our previous perceptions.
