Trends and Prospects of Taoist Culture Exhibition

This international symposium was planned with the purpose of exploring the global trends of Taoism exhibitions before the opening of “Taoist Culture in Korea,” a special exhibition planned by the Archaeology and History Department for 2013. The symposium opened with a keynote speech by Professor Jae Seo Jung of Ewha Women’s University on the history and characteristics of Korean Taoism, followed by presentations on two Taoist art exhibitions in the United States, an introduction to Taoism and Taoist art, exhibitions in France and Japan, and the development of Taoist temple culture exhibitions.
