About the program

Since 2009, the National Museum of Korea has invited experts from major museums, cultural institutions, and other related institutions overseas through the NMK Senior Fellowship Program to establish a wide academic and cultural exchange network.

From 2009 to April 2015, the Museum invited a total of 21 experts in various fields, including art history, archaeology, museum education, program planning for children’s museums, exhibition design and lighting, the operation of Korean Exhibit Galleries overseas, volunteer training, and the operation of visible storage galleries. This program incorporates a variety of activities: for example, special lectures and workshops, consulting on exhibitions and publications, site visits to historical and archaeology excavation fields, and academic investigations.
