The National Museum of Korea, in collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum, presents the special exhibition Marie Antoinette Style. It begins with Marie Antoinette’s self-fashioned image, shaped through fashion, interiors, and personal taste, reflecting how she came to define the aesthetic of her time, and brings together the diverse and often conflicting ways in which she has been represented—as a symbol of luxury and excess, an object of admiration, a victim of the Revolution, and a fashion icon. It further traces how these images have been repeated and transformed across art, fashion, and popular culture, and how they continue to evolve today.
In December 2026, we invite you to encounter these stories in the exhibition.
