Stupa for National Preceptor Wongong from Geodonsa Temple site

This stupa was erected for National preceptor Wongong, also called Jijong (930-1018). His stele is still extant at the monastic site of Geodonsa in Wonju. The main part of the stupa takes the form of an octagonal hall following the style of a monk’s stupa of the Unified Silla period.
